Wyatt Wu

My name is Wyatt Wu and ​I am a nonfiction filmmaker, video editor and educator based in Los Angeles.  I was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley and somehow decided to go to school in the middle of the country at the University of Missouri.  At Mizzou, I studied documentary journalism with a minor in film studies.​ I recently received my Masters of Arts in Asian American Studies at UCLA.

As a proud Taiwanese American, my biggest hope is to be able to further represent the Asian American community within media. I aspire to be able to find passion to film while documenting inspirational and moving events that happen all around me. Some of my favorite films are Spirited Away, Minding the Gap and The Farewell.
